Lei Zhang, CEO of Cheche technology was invited to online webinar 'mini financial school' of the China Banking and Insurance Daily on March 15th, 2020. Lei shared his thoughts on how to purchase auto insurance with ease and stressed the importance of auto insurance in people's daily lives.

There are more than 200 million private car owners in China, and the annual auto insurance premiums are more than 800 billion. The goals of the continuous reforms in insurance are to help consumers in understanding the basics of auto insurance, purchasing strategies, and claim settlement processes. Ultimately consumers can then develop good insurance awareness, improve their driving habits and financially benefit from the right insurance coverages.

As a financial product, insurance is fairly complicated for an average consumer. Thus, insurers are responsible to educate customers and ultimately avoid headaches when filing for claims or prevent from claims altogether. Lei emphasized that the pandemic promoted user's awareness of online insurance and accelerated the digitization processes for insurance companies. This trend looks to continue into the rest of 2020 and beyond.

Lei explained in detail how to buy auto insurance, settle claims, use the value-added services and interacted with the audience. He pointed out there are many uncertainties in people’s lives and buying insurance can reduce stress and financial burdens that come with those events.
